I ran across this add on craiglist

My family has three ferrets that are needing a new home. With a familyof five a dog and three ferrets its getting to be too much. We love ourferrets and hate to see them go but our house just isn't big enough foreveryone. I can send you pictures via email if requested. We are askinga rehoming fee for them since we did pay quite a bit.We are asking $250obo for all three with cage and supplies. They can be seperated if needbe but if they are then cage would have to stay here with otherferrets. Jinkser is a standard brownish black and white ferret who isenergetic and loves to play. Rosco is albino he wiill play but wouldrather be petted and left to explore. Pappy is balding but is a darkgrey he will lay in your lap let you carry him wherever and hisfavorite thing is sleeping. Fun Facts To Know About Ferrets:

Fun Fur

When ferrets are having fun they sometimes do a little war dance which can look a bit strange...

A ferret having fun means shuffling backwards at great speed whilst staring madly and showing lots of teeth.

The only problem with this activity is that the ferret is often so engrossed that when it's time to run away they often collide with the nearest door/wall.

The dance is sometimes accompanied by chuckling (this is called dooking).

The BIG ZZzzz

Ferrets have very short digestive tracts so they use up the energy they get from food really quickly.

This means that after lots of fun and play, ferrets often sleep for hours...

Ferrets sleep curled up - sometimes with all paws in the air.

Brrrrrr..

Ferrets when they start to wake-up sometimes shiver. Paws and the rest of the body shake to regulate body temperature which can drop while ferrets take a snooze.

Too Hot Ferret

Ferrets tend to wilt in the heat as they cannot sweat. If the weather is hot make sure there's plenty of fresh water and shady spots. A cool floor area can be created by placing a large ceramic/marble tile on the floor for a ferret to flatten out on. An ice-cube in the drinking water also helps.

The ferret is the 3rd most popular pet in the US.
